Gift cards and certificates for dozens of local & national merchants are available for purchase through the program, sponsored by MBank and coordinated by Gresham-Barlow Education Foundation.
The best part of the scrip program is that you are spending money you would probably be spending anyway. You purchase the gift cards at their face value, so it costs you nothing extra. The merchants sell them to the scrip program at a discount so schools and students benefit!
The majority of the funds generated from the sale of are returned to parent groups at participating schools to use for the school projects of their choice. Examples of past projects funded with proceeds include the construction of jogging trails, the installation of school reader board signs and support for music programs.
Orders are placed on Mondays. You can order through your neighborhood school, or you can contact the program coordinator directly to place your order.
Purchases can be made by cash, check and thanks to a generous grant by MBank, you can now charge your purchases to your Visa/Mastercard making it possible for you to earn credit card miles and awards at the same your patronage helps to benefit schools.
