Scrip

Sponsored by:

Gift cards and/or certificates for dozens of local merchants are available for purchase through the $crip program, which is sponsored by MBank and coordinated by the Gresham-Barlow Education Foundation.

The great thing about this program is that you're simply spending money that you would otherwise already be spending. You'll just make your purchase with a gift card. It doesn't cost you anything extra, and our schools benefit from the profit that comes from buying gift cards at a volume discount.

The majority of the funds generated from the sale of $crip are returned to parent groups at participating schools to use for the school projects of their choice. Examples of past projects funded with $crip proceeds include the construction of jogging trails, the installation of school reader board signs and support for music programs. At the high school level, individual students can use proceeds from the sales they generate to cover the cost of participating in school extracurricular activities such as sports, clubs, choir and band. Proceeds earned can also be used toward registration costs.

Participation in the $crip Program is easy!

Orders are placed every Tuesday morning. You can order through your neighborhood school, or you can contact our program coordinator directly to place your order.

Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card. Thanks to a generous grant from MBank, your $crip purchase can now be charged to your Visa or MasterCard, making it possible for you to earn credit card miles and awards at the same your patronage helps to benefit schools.

For more details on our $crip Program, please contact the Foundation's program coordinator, Vicki Kerbaugh-Mills at (503) 663-3816, or by e-mail at vicki.pcc@verizon.net.

Students utilize testing softward to determine how well they have retained information about what they read. They are able to receive immediate feedback on their comprehension. The software was purchased with funds provided by the Foundation's Phone-A-Thon.
